i have a boxer and for about three weeks she has had a lump at the end of one of her nipples.but over this period of time ive noticed that this lump has grown.it is now like a piece of thick string emerging out of her nipple.it is also swollen and red.what do you think this could be?

i have a strong bit of advice for you. Take her to the vet asap as that doesn't sound good!!

MAY BE BREAST CANCER OR A INFECTION. I WOULD TAKE HER TO HER VET AND GET HER CHECKED OUT.HAS SHE HAD BABIES BEFORE?
