Hi..there was at one time.All large notes over one hundred dollars were discontinued in 1946.Those printed up to that time were still allowed to circulate until 1969 were they were then retired from circulation. Pete

There are many thousand-dollar bill types issued by the United States.  The first is an Interest Bearing Note of 1861, and the last is a Federal Reserve Note of 1934.  Before 1861, there were non-circulating thousand-dollar obligations that were more similar to bonds than to currency. The most common type is the 1934 FRN mentioned above.  Interestingly, the highest price for a piece of U.S. currency was for a thousand-dollar bill: an 1890 Treasury Note, nicknamed the "Grand Watermelon" thanks to the design of the zeroes on the "1000" on the back.  It sold for something like $864,000 a few years back. If you search on eBay, you can find thousand-dollar bills pretty readily.  Most will be Federal Reserve Notes: the 1934s (and 1934As) are common, the 1928s are found occasionally, and every once in a while a large-size 1918 FRN pops up.  Anything other than those three is an immense rarity.

Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes ! There are thousand-dollar-bills.  You can only get them privately because the U.S.A. has stopped making them since 1944 or 45 and they are not kept at banks. I think that Jamaica makes thousand dollar bills in Jamaican dollars. 1.00 USD = 61.60 JMD on Aug. 18, 2004.

Yes there is.If you have a thousand dollars in your pocket and your at the bank.You could ask them if you could trade it in and get a thousand dollar bill instead buying it on ebay.And it is cheeper at the bank then ebay.

It depends on what country you live in, I only know about these sort of bills in The US and Canada. The US has many of them, Canada use to have one thousand dollar bills but frankly died in 1969, because many gangsters and drug dealers were using them. Canada still has 100 dollar bills though.

Of course there is a thousand dollar bill. They are just not that that common.A thousand dollar bills are very rare but there definitely is one.I saw a picture of it on the internet. There also is a hundred dollar bill. I saw them on tv a bunch of times. 1000 dollar bills  are real!
