Can cause gastric problems and rebound headaches.

NSAIDS can cause & aggravate gastric ulcer problems, and can trigger asthma attacks in some asthmatics. They also interact with warfarin and should be avoided if on warfarin. They are better than paracetamol/acetaminophen for migraines however, due to anti-inflammatory properties, but codeine preparations arent the best as they can increase the nausea that happens with migraine as it slows the gastric motility even more

I've found naproxen to be very useful when take in a high dosage (under a doctor's supervision) at the onset of migraine pain.  I don't recommend doing this on an empty stomach and I've also found that the NSAID's are not useful once the migraine is in full "bloom".
