Hi..I believe I answered you on this note but just in case some-other people have this note or others here is my input on this. This note has the serial number of known copies.A huge amount of fake Confederate notes were printed in the 1940-1960 era. They were put in cereal boxes, gum packages and sold in civil war souvenir shops. Two ways to tell is first by the paper.A lot of fake notes are printed on yellow or brown parchment type of paper to give that old look.Real Confederate notes were never printed this way.Second is by the signatures with exception of the 50 cent fractional notes all Confederate notes were pen signed in brown and some blue ink.All fake notes have printed not pen signed signature in black ink.If you have any questions on your notes I would be happy to answer them.Email me at marlofan@aol.com.

I also have a fifty dollar Confederate note. It is signed not printed. It is numbered 1844 two places and was printed in Richmond Sept of 1861.
