My Dad possibly has Cancer of the Larnyx anyways he refuses to go to the Doctor. He says that Jesus will heal him when Hes ready.
I think he should go to the Doctor and at least get diagnosed. He still refuses how do I convince him that he should go if I should try????

My Dad was just diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. I will pray for your Dad.Nothing has been done yet for my Dad next week he has an appointment with a surgeon and hopefully this can be removed with any further damage. Please just listen for now to your Dad,mine was the same way. he didn't want to be seen. Finally he decieded on his own to go. So we're just praying it was in time.Just try to be as supportive as a daughter can.. Take Care
Heather

Let me start by saying it sounds as if your Dad is very blessed to have such a concerned child. I hope and pray you will love and support your Dad regardless of his stubbornness. Now,while many believer's in Christ believe whatever comes their way is a test or at the very least permitted by God, you might remind your Dad that God also gave mankind the ability to think, create, use his God given talents. This includes medical knowledge. Remind your Dad that God has given mankind, including your Dad the ability to make choices, and your Dad can choose to go to the Doctor and possibly have a pre-cancerous tumor removed and thereby give God the glory for the ability and availability to go to a Dr. and remain here for a few more years with his loving child(ren) and other family. Many people in the world do not have this option - God has blessed him with having the option to go. Or, he may choose not to go to the Dr. and this may not be God's will since He is the giver of all knowledge. You may also want to remind him the Bible speaks of medical attention - this is NOT going against God nor a sign of a lack of faith.  There are examples of using medicine in the Bible - so this is not a sign of weakness.God Bless...:)

My dad started out with laryngitis(spelling) then it got to the point where he could not eat or swallow nothing.  The doctors had to do a emergency tracheotomy that made a hole in my dads throat so he could breath.  Please tell your dad that Jesus does not heal everyone.  I thought my dad would be OK but he eventually passed away from this nasty disease.  You still have your father! Please encourage your dad to go see a doctor, just not for him but for you too!  My dad left behind 3 children and 6 grandchildren, his parents, two brothers and a sister and numerous other family members.  Good luck and I hope he goes so you will have more time with him.

Remind your dad that God is the one that gave the doctors the wisdom to do what they do.  God enables doctors to be a tool used by Him.
