After purchasing a registered(by breeder)APBT puppy;how long can you wait to transfer registry into your name.Is there a time limit?

Don't know who your dog is registered with but I know there isn't a minimum time with ADBA. You have 90 days from the date of sale to register the dog or pay a late fee of $5.00. You can't change the dog's name after it is 6 months old though. I'm not yet familiar with the UKC but i'm sure there isn't a minimum time. I personally wouldn't want a dog that is only registered UKC, due to their admission of American Staffordshire Terriers as Pit Bulls.
