If you are 17 but do not live with your parents anymore how do you go about getting a piercing?  I don't have a legal guardian, but I have no contact with my parents either.  So what do I do?

I live in colorado...  is there any place that will do tongue piercing for 17 year olds?  i haven't found any places that will do it without a parent sig. or proof of legal gaurdianship (i.e. gaurdianship papers).  If anyone knows, that would be a huge help.  Thanks!!!

The only two of you that actually made sense was Andrea and Osborn. I happen to work for a tattoo shop, and to go in there and get someone to pierce you (a minor) could only get one person in trouble, and that is the piercer. Use your head. WAIT. Then, you can do whatever you want. And to REENY, If you only knew what kind of germs you are putting into your body, I'm sure you wouldn't be piercing yourself. If any of you haven't noticed, you have to be certified by the Health Department to open a shop...that piece of paper that HAS TO BE IN EVERY SHOP isn't there for good looks. PLAY IT SMART!!! I would know. Trust me on this. Someone who works in a tattoo shop is telling you this. DO NOT PIERCE YOURSELF!!!!
