call the local animal hospitals and see if they have any ads or flyers advertising them.  look in the paper and check on line.  that is how i found mine, and she is the best dog in the entire world!

I would deffenlenty check the SPCA first because those dogs will be put to sleep if no body gets them. Also they are much cheaper(practically free) and you would be saving a life.

Just so everyone knows, there is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua. this is a phrase people use to sell these pups for a larger price. The truth is, these pups are the smallest of the litter, therefore, called "teacup"  chihuahua. I have a little chihuahua who is only 3 lbs and done growing. He is my little pride and joy. If you are looking for one around this are ( NJ, NY) let me know... thank you

There's no such thing as a teacup chihuahua! It's just a scam used by dishonest breeders con unsuspecting people into thinking a smaller chihuahua is "rare" and they should pay more money because it's "rare". In fact, they are doing more harm to the breed than good. Dogs that are bred down in size can suffer from a multitude of inheritable problems and organ problems. It's fairly common for them to die at an early age from organ failure. If you want a chihuahua, do yourself a favor and do your research and find a reputable breeder. I am 16 years old, and both my best friends recently got small puppies, and i fell in love with them both! I am the proud owner of a 4 year old chihuahua, but she is mostly my moms dog, and being exposed to the tiny pups of my friends, I desperately want a small puppy of my own. if you people were intelligent, you'd stop writing "need one cheap" because no reputable breeder is going to sell you a dog, knowing that you have no money.  They want their puppies to go to people who can provide for them financially as well as emotionally and who, in case of a 911 vet visit, will be able to save their pets life.  Get with it!!!

Please know that chihuahuas bred to be extra tiny are prone to a whole host of health problems--luxating patellas, seizures, hydrocephalus just to name a few--and often have much shorter life spans than normal sized ones.  The chihuahua is already the world's smallest dog, how small do you really need?  Also, there really is no such thing as a "teacup chihuahua", its just a marketing ploy to charge more for the tiniest dogs.  Chihuahuas are wonderful companions, in all sizes, but please inform yourselves on the negatives before making a decision.

I have 3 Chis, there is NO SUCH THING as a toy or teacup Chi!!! People try to sell that to you to get you to pay MORE!!! My Chi's are from 3 to 5 pounds.

Hi, my name is Kim and I am looking for a brown Teacup Chihuahua for my dog Chico. We used to have a Toy Chihuahua but he got hit by a car. My dog is doing ok because are neighbor has a Toy Chihuahua and he always comes over but now they are going to move and me and my dog both love that dog so I wanted to buy another dog just for him.

why doesn't everyone try looking in their local newspaper advertisements, that's how I found both of my chihuahuas and they will both be under 3 lbs. Make sure you check the breeder out before buying anything.

right now i'mnot looking for a teacup chihuahua, but somewhere i can get one. i'mtwelve years old and the youngest of my family. so my brothers and sister are moving out. i'vealways loved little chihuahuas.i'vealready started saving up for the puppy, food, the works and my parents will help with food and stuff. i understand that these little dogs are worth millions but if you know where i can find one$200 or lower in the Western NY area i would be forever greatful

There is no such thing as a t-cup chi. I am a chi breeder. Breeders use the term to ask outageous prices for the dogs. Also, no one can guarantee you how big the pup will get. The one that they promise you to be a tiny t-cup, may end up being a 10 lb chi. Also, if you want a "t-cup" for $200 or less, forget it!! The asking prices on these "t-cups" are usually $1200-$1500. I would like to thank the Chi breeders that are stepping up and saying that there is no such thing as a teacup Chi. Because i didn't know that,nor did i know the health problems that went along with making the dog breed smaller. i will look into this more and check your web-sites because of your honesty and care for the dogs. thank you.

I want a teacup chihuahua. i know they don't REALLY exist but i know small ones do, therefor i want a SMALL chihuahua. i know they may be destined to die after like 2 years, but i want one. i have to pay for the dog myself to show i will take care of it, but my mom is paying for everything else. i have like $350. To say that such animal cruelty is OK by supporting the breeding of undersized dogs is truly sick. It is ridiculous that you would rather have a tiny sickly puppy simply because of the it's size than a healthy well bred dog.

Hey everyone, Im am 14 years old almost 15 and i once had my own dog marlon but unfortunatly he got way to big and my mom gave him away while i was at my dads. at that time he was my only friend. that was when i was 7 then since my dog and my best friend was gone i grew closer to my brother but unfortunaly when i was 12 my brother enrolled in the army and is stationed in Iraq So i lost my best friend to war since then i have been longing to have a chihuahua becasue they would provide me with the best friend i no longer have and they are small and i just fall in love with they're faces. i would really like a short haired tan or black chihuahua. I know that I would provide a very loving house for the animal. I jused had to say good buy to my very best friend alittle bird who used to sit on my shoulder when I play my violin.He died this morning and I can not even play any more.My mom took me to some pet stores...but there will never be another bird like him...When we stoped at the store with the dogs I met  a wonderfull creature-a little doggy,who licked my tears and I fell so in love with him.That mas a toy puppy.But..it costs 1000.oo dol.Came home started looking on line.Thay are all so lovable.Almost all breeds.If smb. please help me to find me friend again,that would be the most wonderful event in my life.I live in florida.My mom could prob.take me up to 500 miles to get a doggy .Please email me at jurategoodforyou@comcast.net.                                    Andrew/13/

I had a tri-colored long-haired Chihuahua for 10 years.  He died Oct. 2003 partially due to an enlarged heart (and other organs)from poor breeding.  He was extremely sick in the end and had several medications.  His symptoms were evident - his heart was just too big (lovingly).  Killer was the best baby dog ever.  The breed is amazingly loving and smart, but don't set yourself up.   The breed takes a lot of care (I know of 3 people who sat on theirs and killed them - seriously).   Love your Chihuahua and it'll love you. (just some advice)
