Is a screen saver a necessity? I like to start up my OS but not dial up my internet service only when I need it and I wondered does the same image on the screen damge or burn into it. If I simply turn the power off the screen but leave the OS running is that ok? Or should I not make a habit of leaving the OS on when not in use and just start up when I want to use my internet service?
