The correct name for the (RON+MON)/2 formula is the "antiknock index",
and it remains the most important quality criteria for motorists [39]. - I own an American Motorbike (Harley), driven in Australia. Does Australia use this RON+MON/2 or some other standard? I am trying to "translate" what I read from the US and need to know if 91/95/98 octane (as specified at the pump here in Australia) is equivelent to the same octanes in the US. It seems we may be higher from what I have read.
