If you were living in fear of being sent to one of these camps if you spoke out, would you? The residents must have been living with their eyes shut to not have noticed the camps construction and presence, and yet, many may have just chosen to believe the propaganda, for the chance of an easy life.

I'm not completely sure they really had any choice about this, Britain, France and its allies new about them to a certain extent so are those countries not also to blame? but if they did complain(the people near by) wouldn't they have also been taken off to them, this was the fear in them that stopped them saying anything, due to this there was a lot of people letting other people dye, isn't this also a form of murder?? anyway back to the question i think that some blame should be placed on them but to be honest if you were in that situation wouldn't you have been scared for your life and wanted to keep quite, so shouldn't we also blame Britain and its allies?

a lot i think.

If we do nothing then surely it is an accomplice to a crime - same as if you didn't report a car accident in modern times.

you can say they were scared, manipulated, poor but are these really valid points when you look at what was happening?
