I have a 1994 LHS, the transmission some times slams when it down shifts from 2nd to 1st mostly after being driven for a period of time, an advise?

Get ready to replace or rebuild that damn 41TE/42LE chrysler transmission with automatic overdrive.  Sorry, but that is the facts.  Mine was replaced at 45000.

I'm a Quebec transmission re-builder: the problem is that the clutch pack are probably too used...go to a garage to check with a scan tool the cvi..they must have between 35/55...i have see a bad computer do this too: not capable to adapt the real gap of the clutch...you can try the smart blend additive: if the rubber seal are dry, it can help...salut Man home!
