how do i set up the atari gameing console 2600 series to my television?

All you really need is a standard switchbox - from either an Atari 8-Bit system, or any of the Atari consoles - Just make sure it has an RCA input (the round one) and a VHF output jack.

Just hook the VHF output to your TV and set your TV to the channel that your 2600 is set as. The VHF output may just be two terminals, in which case you would need a tiny converter so you can hook it up to any modern TV.

Then just get a nice length of RCA cable. The ones that came with the 2600 with the "fancy" box at the end, well, that was just for show :) - so any RCA cable will do.

Then just hook it up, turn on the 2600 and have fun :)
