Hi, I am getting my belly button pierced on my 18th birthday which is on January 15, my mom is taking me. Now keep in mind that I have wanted this done for a very long time and my mom and I compermised on my 18th birthday. But the problem is that sometimes my skin is sensitive to different kinds of metals and my mom is worried that it will become infected. Should I still get it done?? And also where is a good clean place to have it done in New Jersey?? Please email me or im me with these answers at Nsyncgoalie@aol.com. Please.

no, it will not mess it up. but i would reccomend losing weight and then getting pierced. if this isn't possible, then don't worry. it won't do anything, because there is no fat where you are pierced. it is just through skin. 40 lbs will not make that much of a difference anyway, and even if it were like 100 pounds it wouldn't matter.

i think if you are going to get it done then lose weight first but i dont think any girl needs to lose weight you just think you are fat but your not. in thurso you can get it done what ever the age you can just walk in to the shop and tell them but if you are going to it done then lose the weight first. joey [girl]

hey you guys! my friend has a belly button peircing that she got a couple months ago in newark, but they didn't numb it and she said it didn't hurt. all the guys where stoners, so i figure they will let you get your belly peirced w/o a parent cus they're all stoned haha! but she said that the guys made her mom fill out all these forms. but yea you do have to be 18 to get a peirceing w/o a parent in nj.
