Typically,canine tends to possess a higher but normal reading than human.  For a dog about 50#, the normal is up to 102. Just be aware of the dog's surrounding like extreme cold or heat.  Watch for certain signs like not eating, drinking excessive or very little amount of water.  These may be signs of some illness.  If there are, it's best to have a vet check him/her out just in case.
