How do I change the rear brake cylinder in a 1996 Dodge Stratus

cylinders are easy to change. you will have to remove the springs on the shoes to remove the pressure on the cylinder then you can remove the old cylinder but you must be careful when loosening the line from the cylinder as it tends to be seized spray the line end and play with it very carefully or it may twist the line and snap. put a bucket under the wheel to catch any mess and if possible plug the brake line after you remove it. undo the two bolts holding the cylinder in place and clean the backing plate off scrap away all old sealants apply new sealer and place new cylinder into area and tighten up bolts reconnect line and again be careful when tightening line up some people use sealer on line too (up to you)once you are done you will have to bleed your brake lines to remove any air from the lines.
