Helloooo there fellow worshipers of da 'erb! Yes, believe it or not but good quality organic tea is great to smoke and I cannot believe that I am now hooked on one the most addictive drugs known to man (tobacco) cos here in the UK it is usual to mix (typically copious quantities of) it with weed in joints! I always assumed that if tea was any good to smoke as a tobacco alternative, there would be more on the net about it. I tried using it for the first time last night mixed about 50-50 with good quality (though not as full flavoured as of late ;-) ) erb and a few shavings of Drum Milde tobacco (to try and ween me off slowly!) and the smoke was beautifully smooth, far smoother than tobacco. And it's cheaper! Tea by itself ain't bad either. Caffeine vapourises at about 170 degrees - and cos its in what's termed free base form in tea, I'm sure it vapourises in a spliff, hence you get a mild caffeine buzz after a few tea joints - nice! Tobacco, and more specifically the nicotine therein, has never agreed with me (the first few times I smoked it, I was really dizzy and violently sick (green urrrrgh!) and I've always swung from joints to pure pipes/bongs and back. Pure pipes/bongs are nice, but the weed in the UK now is typically too pokey to smoke more than a bud or two in one go! Plus, a pipe/bong does tend to make you "lung" a whole spliff's worth of gear in one go IMHO. So now I can relax with a spliff and not get the nasty initial nicotine hit and not worry about being addicted to fags (and that's not gay blokes for my American readers!). Fantastic! Moreover, the brand of tea I'm using burns really slowly but hotly and the smoke has a slighltly earthy but very smooth and neutral flavour that lets the taste of the erb through far more than even the mildest tobacco. There's isn't any of that horrible bitter chemically aftertaste that you get from tobacco either. I'm using Ridgeways Organic tea from Sainsbury's here in the UK. Comes as bags in green box. Rip bags open and skin up! Since it is quite finely divided leaf, make sure you put a little compressed cube of tobbacco or the like as what I call "buffer baccy" just after the roach but before the mix (ur not gonna smoke right to the roach eh?). This acts as a kinda filter preventing you inhaling little particles of tea which may not be good! Can't find out any info on chemicals produced when tea is combusted but can't imagine they're any worse than you get from tobacco. Will do some more research and keep you folk posted!

After finding this on the Internet earlier i tried it. As a regular weed smoker i thought it would do nothing to me. However. I was wrong. It has been almost a week since i last smoked dope and i used to smoke it on a daily basis. But today i have had cravings but i didn't want to get any weed. I wanted to see at least the week through. So i found this site and luckily i have some green tea bags. It has been 45 minutes since i smoked some tea. I have a slight buzz which makes me feel a little light headed but overall a welcome experience. It stinks the house out though. Later on i will have had a few more. But i would recommend it to anyone. Its good if you have no weed

Ideed I am A Doctor of Tea by personal experience in smoking. I have smoked around hundreds of bowls of tea to be exact and it is no joke i work for a highly accountable professor at Miami University in Oxford Ohio and we have researched the practice of smoking herbal extracts such as Salvia, Tea, and Hoppys (etc.) I am highly knowledgable on the subjct. I find when you hot box a room while two people are smoking bubblers of tea it burns quick but the stenchy smoke left behind contantly going through your respitory system really gets you high and happy and is the best way. Other than that pack a bowl with a screen on the bottom with a tint of marijuana or normal tobacco. Ive run out of bud sac and I need something to occupy my bored bored bored head. Nice bit of 'earl grey', tanned it in a pipe / bong. Yeah, maby got a slight buzz off it. I WANT SOME WEEEEED... DON'T SMOKE GREEN TEA!!!!!!!! It's a wast of time and it doesn't get you high. But if you often get high (off marijuana) with someone and you think they just act like they are smoking it and then act high try this. Take you green tea put it in a bag like pot (it will look exactly the same in a poorly lit place try to avoid full on light cause then it's pretty easy to tell it's not pot. Anyways have a "joint" of it pre-rolled. Invite this person over and tell them you got some pot and you wanna get high with them. When they come over (at night) meet them outside with the joint and keep the bag with you to show them or just say you have one joint. Smoke it with them it smells just like marijuana when burned but not when in the bag. This shouldn't get you high. See if they act really high if they do they are probably just faking it, if they act buzzed or not high at all they are probably true stoner. Just a warning red eyes may occur. I tried this and got someone good. Good luck and Green tea does NOT get you high.

i smoke both marijuana and tea.tea is just a great substitute for weed.but you have to remember every thing that you smoke is bad for you, mabe not as bad as cigaretts but any smoke will damage your lungs.marijuana makes your lungs look like the inside of an uncleaned pipe but wont cause cancer.best thing is rolling a blunt out of bible paper with both weed and tea and sticking in your water pipe.i just smoked 3 blunts with just tea and i feel a little light.nothing compares it to weed because when im stoned i tend to make up crazy jazz riffs in my head by when i smoke tea i cant think of any thing. how old is every body??im 15.im just thinking smoking tea?i couldnt imagine an adult smoke tea but who knows mabe he thinks cigs are stupid.

I have just made a foil pipe, the usual way, and packed it with Lipton Green Tea (100 % Natural.) I took a good 6-8 hits... 5 minutes passed. I had a slightly pulsating feeling of calm pleasure, and I must admit, it wasn't so bad afterall. I had a Marlboro Blend no. 27 about 5 seconds ago. I'm now feeling absolutely calm, focused, and relaxed. My throat didnt burn too much, as I'm used to inhalation of strong smoke. I totally recommend smoking natural teas, and experimenting with all kinds, but not ones which contain certain chemichals, etc etc. Just good ol' natural green tea! I'm well focused now, and again I will recommend it. It is a great alternative and well worth the effort. "she was living in a single room with three other individuals. I've tried smoking tea, I.E. lipton regular, and other forms that have jasmine in it, the first time i tried it i used my bowl/pipe and i had a little bit of weed left over in it, because i was running low and really wanted to get high...and i did!...So my first time doesn't really count, not sure if the weed intensified the relaxation of the Tea or if it was just the THC'sof the weed, but when i smoked just the Jasmine Tea today i didn't really get much out of it, felt relaxed but can't credit tea for that indefinetly. I noticed that when i would conversate that my thoughts were not cloudy like when your high from weed, had a great after taste...burned like hell, but i think i'lltry some more right now..;) also if you want a real nice smooth high, hit some good quality weed then chill for a few, then smoke a Bidi, wow....you'll never see smoking the same way again. so smoke on my fellow smokers.

Yeah, I really like smoking tea. I've been smoking it about once a week for about 4 months now. It's a pleasant high, especially when you smoke a lot. One time, a friend and I walked all the way to the local corner store (1/2-3/4 mile walk) while smoking tea. This was an incredble amount of tea, i smoked 5 bags, and my friend smoked 4. It was generally 1 tea bag per joint. I usually smoke in the shower, using a marker/foil pipe, and blow into the stream of water to draw the smoke closer to the floor, not into the air. Joints give off MUCH more smoke, my parents walked into the bathroom and asked why it smelled like cigs. I told him it was TP and vegetable oil that i burned and they bought it. So smoking tea is good and definetely worth the effort.

First of all, I have smoked weed almost every day since I was 13, I am now 16. I just recently got busted at school for the 2nd time and am currently suspended for 5 days, and no way of getting high because I have been sent to live with my dad, who lives in the middle of nowhere. I tried 1 smoking packet of 100% lipton Green Tea in 2 joints, I smoked the first one while I was outside a local store, I felt nothing until I went inside, I felt a very heavy feeling of relaxation. I smoked my other joint on the way home. I didnt feel very much, but I did feel very relaxed. I think if I were to smoke a larger quantity (because I am a heavy pot smoker) like 2 blunts of green tea, I would feel the effects alot more. I guess, if you got nothing else to do, its worth a try.

Ok, ive been smoking tea for quite a while now, first of all, smoke anything BUT flavored black tea, it gives you no high, and isnt all that great tasting, look for the herbal stuff, anything a little bit more snazzy looking will taste better, and will give you a slight high or a relaxed feeling thoughout your body. if you are willing to take the time, i have instuctions for homemade teaarettes. same idea as a ciggarette, but with tea take a pencil. wrap your rolling paper around the pencil, and tape it on the flap, (try to use something else, avoid using tape), next, take your empty tube you have now formed and find some type of cotton ball or something to act as a filter, take what you have now, and stuff it into the tube, use your pencil to help stuff it down. Pack it into one side of the tube. now, find your favorite tea and pour it into the other end of the tube. leave about 1/2 a centimeter left at the end. now close off the end gift wrap style. you now should have a snazzy looking new idea. You would be quite surprised when you look at that filter when you are done. if anybody has ANY recommendations for new tea or new ideas, please let me know. Also, they say they have tea that will help you lose weight, when drinking, but what about when smoking? hahahaha, who knows.

im not sure but i regualry smoke herbal teas either from proper leaves (from specialist shops e.g wittards) or make a nice jointy thing from tea bags sumtmies it make me fell alittle high but maybe its just me over reacting, it tastes alot nicer than cigs tho.

it can make you have a very small feelingness of high(depending on which) but its not unhealthy people with asthma can do it without dying its cheaper and tastes extremely good(i recomend apple cinnamin)

I tried smoking tea (regular black tea like Lipton) years ago. It didn't do anything except give me a splitting headache a few hours later. Of course I was using cheap rolling papers. You would think that the caffeine and theophylline in the tea would affect you somewhat.

I tried smoking some apple cinnamon tea. Holy crap I got a nifty buzz off of it using my one-hitter. I had to stop since I wasn't expecting so much smoke. As I usually do it in my room but it smells horrible when it's burned, but it tastes great. I would rather have weed, but if you don't have anything this makes a cheep and worthy substitute.
