For a living donor liver transplant: What, if any, expenses does Medicare (not Medicaid)cover for the donor?  Are the medical expenses fully covered?  How about transportation and living expenses (per diem, hotel, whatever) for prior and subsequent visits?

Living Liver Donors are not completely covered by Medicare.  Only if it is done in a Medicare certified facility and only under certain circumstances.  You must speak with the facility where the procedure is to be done.  If Medicare does not cover it, the facility usually has a fund that pays for these types of procedures.  Usually, the patient and the donor do not have to pay for anything.
