I just recently adopted a 3 yr. old yorkie whose owner passed away. I also have a 6month old yorkie that I have had since he was 8 weeks both are male and both neutered. My 6 month old is too aggressive with the 3 year old and I am scared the older dog is having a problem adjusting, any suggestions??? Will the puppy eventually settle down?

I am having the same issue.  Adopted a 3 year old Yorkie but have a 10 week old Bichon/poodle mix.  My Yorkie is having a problem adjusting and the previous owners vet put her on "doggie downers"(sedatives).  This seems to be working while she is getting adjusted to the new home and family.  She's even playing a little with the puppy.  They weren't expensive, cost of the vet visit.  You may want to try it.

All dogs do that when a new dog come around his or her teritory, but after a month or so they will get use to the dog and it will all be over. They are getting to know each other and the younger dog is just still in a playful stage.

Something less expensive that you could try is just letting your 6month old pup know that he is not boss. The easiest way to do this is to ALWAYS feed the older dog first, always greet the older dog first, and when giving treats or awards...give it to the older dog first. When the 6m. pup sees you creating and enforcing this chain of command and respect, he will get the idea. You are the "top dog" so initiate control, and stop letting your youngest take the reigns.
