i have a 3 year old cocker spainal i got her when i was 13! she is very sweet & she does have a problam jumping on me when i go to pet her & it hurts because her nails are so long i dont want to hurt her when i cut her nails should i let a vet do that, or will that hurt her? & another thing when someone pets her in the house she gets really excited & she pees in the floor how can i make her stop that?

Yes, if you are affraid of cutting your dogs nails you MUST let your vet cut them.It will NOT hurt her.For the peeing problem its called traing.!!

Cliping the dogs nails doesn't hurt them so long as you don't cut them to short. Dogs have a small vein in their claws if cut they can bleed alittle or alot depending on how much of the vein you clip off with the nail. So it is best if your dog has black claws you let the vet do it. But if you dog has white claws it easy to tell how much to clip your vet can show and explain how to you.

Cockers are natural wetters when being touch by visitors and new people to them. I've found with my cocker it's best if we meet everyone outdoors first and let them touch her out there. That way she does her nervous thing of wetting out doors. Hope this helps you.

If i was u i would let the vet cut her dog`s nails. Your dog is just happy to see new people so if was u i would teach her or him to go to the bathroom outside. I hope i helped u

you should let a vet cut your dog's nail's cause they would have the best experince. for the peeing problem PLEASE TRAIN YOUR DOG BERFOFE IT DOES ITS BESNISE ON SOMEBODY
