Since this is now a couple of months later, I'm hoping the crisis has passed. When we feel totally helpless, or hopeless- like nothing can change the situation or take away the pain- then suicide seems like the only answer. There are a number of people in the bible who considered suicide. The answer is always finding a way to contribute and lead a productive life. For some strange reason, helping others takes the focus away from our own problems.

Once they feel like they are a productive member of society and worthy, they can begin to grow.

As a friend or family member, you can ask for help, or ask for advice. Make them feel important. Saying so isn't enough. People need to feel, well, needed.
