Wow i have 2 agree with jacob. u guyz r retarded. theres a little button on the e back side of it that sets it to different modes. if you couldnt figure that out, you shouldnt be considered a paintballer.

there is no manuel but you also have to buy a thing called a jumper switcw you can get at radio shack for $1.50 for like 10 of um then you can use the butten

All you have to do is to, take a jumper off of 1 of your computer hard drives.
it's a small black or white peace, depending on your hard drive, i guess the spyder imagine will not come with a jumper, i was upset but i took 1 off my computer hard drive and had a lot of fun with it.

When you turn your spyder on press the button at the base of the back of your grip one time.  you will notice that the green light that is on the bottom of the left of the grip will turn orange... this is the 3 shot burst.  if you press it one more time it will turn to full auto.  if you turn the spyder off it will reset back to semi auto.
If you want to set the rate of fire to fast you have to press and hold the button until the middle green light starts flashing. Release the button at the back of your grip and press it one more time...this will change the green flashing light to red which will allow you to fire faster.  once it is flashing red press and hold the button one more time until it stops flashing.  You can do this for each setting semi 3shot and full auto.

Look i have the same problem but i know about the button and when i press it NOTHING HAPPENS...this jumper cable what does it do ...maybe thats the problem all i did was put in the battery and charged it but all i have it the green on the bottem and orange in the middle but,no red...do i need to go and buy one??? ok well if you can help me out please e-mail me at toobad4you81@yahoo.com i would appriciate it

First bulb turns green for power on....next an orange light glows above the green bulb...third time, when I hold the button down, The green bulb blinks on and off. When I release the button the bulbs return to normal and I am stuck with semi-auto. Please respond. Thank you.

I have an imagine that i bought at, where else, walmart and i am very new to paintball. I don't know much about anything yet and am having the same problem. when i push the button once the red light comes on holding it down makes the green light flash then releasing it makes the green light go solid again and I'm always on semi auto. i also have no clue at all what a jumper cable is so if u can help me email me Slim_Shady_951@Hotmail.com

I have an Imagine and you have to press the button twice to switch modes.

I have another question... how do you make it actually shoot 13 BPS? They claim it does but there its obvious it doesn't.

it doesn't shoot as fast if u don't have an electric agitating hopper(a hopper that vibrates) if u have a electric hopper on your gun  then it should work. if it still doesn't then your a moron and either your gun is broken or you don't have it on automatic and on high enough rate of fire.

i have a spyder imagine and you have to press the button under the place were you charge it and when it blinks you press it and the light wil turn red for super fast modes then press it agin and hold so the button is not flashing then press it once quickly and both bottom buttons will be red. I also have a lcd screen i got from a friend of a friend that jacked a friend of a friend and i got up tp 16 BPS!!!!!!!

I HAVE A SPYDER AND I COULD NOT GET IT TO SWICTH FOR A WHILE SO I MESSED WITH IT FOR A WHILE AND I FIGURED OUT A WAY.  USE SOME THIN COPPER TO CLOSE THE CIRCUT BETWEEN THE TWO LITTLE PRONGS BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND THE LIGHTS IT WORKS

Tippmann A-5 is a much better gun Tippmanns are known to last and are very durable guns and dont break easily. Spiders on the other hand do break easier. So i would say tippmann A-5

you guys are mostly retarded. Never buy a gun at wal mart. only buy at paintballonline.com and yes if you press the button so the light turns red and the small light is white it will shoot 14 balls per second if you have the 2004 imagine. IM SURROUNDED BY RETARDS!!!!

I don't have a spyder, but I was told by the local paintball store owner that walmart sells the imagine without full auto capability, in which case you have to do something to it.  I don't know what this something is, but it may very well be the jumper.  And unless you know what your doing and how your hard drives are set up, don't remove the jumper from there.  Hope that helps.

I just got a Spyder Imagine and my gun wouldn't change modes to 3-shot burst, or full auto. I fiddled with it for about a half hour and was looking inside the grip at the chip and the two prongs between the battery and the lights weren't connected. So i put an electrical connector, or just any piece of metal on it and it must of completed the circut because it changed modes fine when I tried it.

i had a spyder imagine before they went to walmart and never had any problem with the gun! i didnt need to mess with the internals and i read the manual and figured out how to properly work it. also dont try to shoot the gun until u have fully charged it or it will chop! i suggest you people with problems take it to a shop because u obviously dont know how to work on a gun. secondly i got an 04 imagine and it works great once again without tampering with it!

Even though this is a website for spyder questions i have one thing to say.  If you are new to the game of paintball and u are willing to spend 150 dollars ur best bet would be the tippmann 98 custom.  I have used it for over 2 years and it has never let me down and it can be fully customized. Sypers tend to break alot easier than tippmanns

Wallmart sells the gun without the jumper.
It is not a cable, just a small plastic square jumper like the ones to set your irq or dma on older pc's
It is Company policy to not sell "Fully automatic weapons", even though this is not classified as a weapon. Go figure. The advertized price at Wallmart is $138. I do not know what paintballonline sells them for.

Ok imaginer is 100% right on dont now buy i paintball gun at Wal-Mart because they dont know crap about paintball guns or paintball at all and if the gun breaks down on you they well just give you another crapy broken down paintball gun so buy your guns and everything else at a local REAL PB store. On buying the spider or the tippman it depinds on what kind of paintball your playing if its in the woods in a big field i would go with the tippman because its more accurate. If your playing on a airball field or and speed ball field or any kind of small tourny field you should get the spyder because its a e-marker so you can fan your fingers and if you can fan your fingers the spider can shoot alote faster that the tippman if you need more help with PB for you newbs my aim is firebird678678.

I have a Black imagine and it is full auto capable, My friends bought theres at Wal-mart, they have the buttons but don't fire any other way than semi-auto. I will try the tourney block (jumper) on theres.

You need to put the two metal pieces inside the handle together or put copper wire around them, then you will be able to change the ROF.

look, in da back of the EMARKER on the center it has a litlle @$$ button. u press it once & it goes on semi, press it gain and it goes on auto, press AGAIN, and it goes on 3 burst! i have one with a 16" barrel, electric hopper,24 co2 tank,spec ops,& a V-Force LAZER----that could burn u muhahahahaha! peace out dawgs!

If you can't switch firing modes with the push button switch on the back of the handle, then you are missing the JE30B* Tournament Lock Switch.  Open the grip frame and look at the circuit board: you should see two metal prongs sticking straight up parallel to one another.  Either order the JE30B* part from a dealer or connect the two prongs yourself.  Any piece of metal will do, or if you have any spare wires, strip them and wrap them around the prongs securely.

And one more thing.  


All of you that bashed this poor guy for asking this question, you wreak of ignorance.  Ya'll don't know crap about anything, and are a disgrace to this sport.  Understand what you're talking about before you make a fool of yourself.  Just admit it, you don't know how that circuit board works and what all those wires do.  So STFU, and let someone who does put you in your place with the rest of the n00bs.

i know i shouldnt have but i got the Imagine
from walmart and when i hold down the botton the light the orenge light comes on but when i pull the trig it turns off and it still will not shot 3 round burst... when i hold the botten down fir a long time it will flash but still when i pull the trigger no 3 round bust..  i need some help
and i know i cant spell but im also not retarded..

Your all idiots, just play with semi-auto if you don't know how to change it, because if you try to fix the gun there's always the chance you will break the gun and the warrenty for the spyder is only valid if u regestered 15 or less days after you bought your gun. So go to a local store and i'm positive that one of the staff will assist you, because they make a living wiht paintball and know lots!!!(they also want to make you happy so that you will come back)
P.S. : In turnements you can't use full-auto or 3-burst only semi-auto.

You boneheads that trashed the guy for asking have your heads in a dark place.  It was a good question.  Walmart sells the imagine without mentioning full auto or how to adjust velocity.  All you have to do is install a standard jumper plug, found on all motherboards and on some harddrives or other pc components, as mentioned, and auto modes all work perfectly.

Just so you know Wal-Mart sells the imagine without the capability of 3 shot burst or full auto. For all of you who call them retards maybe you should think twice about calling them that. The manual from wal-mart does not have the section on changing modes and speeds. Go to kingmans web site and get the real parts diagram and info on mode changing. Wal-Mart sells the gun locked in tournament locked mode. To fix it there are two prongs sticking up right under all of the wires that connect to the board. For $1.40 you can buy 10 jumpers that will fit in that spot. Put one on and it works perfect.

i just got a spyder imagine s.  it wouldn't change modes like it was supposed to.  i looked high and low, and it was hear i found my answer.  I just took a piece of copper wire, stripped off the insulation, and wrapped it around the prongs for a temporary fix until i can go and give radio shack a quarter for a jumper.  FYI, it's not a wise decision to take a jumper of ur computer, it's a lot more expensive than a gun or a fifteen cent part.

NO THEY'RE NOT ALL STUPID SOME GUNS THAT KINGMAN MADE DO NOT HAVE THE TWO POSTS CONNECTED THAT ARE RIGHT NEXT TO THE BATTERY AFTER YOU CONNECT THOSE TWO POSTS THEN YOU WILL HAVE ACTIVATED THE SWITCH THAT IS ON THE BACK SIDE OF THE GRIP.

ok, the spyder imagine from wal-mart does have the capability of going full auto.  it comes with all the pieces to make it go into the three modes of fire.  in the baggie you will find a small black square with some metal inside it.  remove the left side of your grip with a screwdriver.  look on the board for two small prongs just below the other two connectors.  simply put the small black jumper on the prongs and reattach your grip.  now your marker should go full auto.

Same here I had the same problem with an E-grip on a spyder from Wal- Mart, it would do nothing but semi-auto. I opened the cover and seen two twin prongs needing a connection, I installed a jumper from radio shack, Done deal! Its actually called a DIP Shunt shorting jumper. Because most people in Radio shack dont know what it is if you ask for a jumper.

If you bought your Spyder Imagine marker from walmart, then you have a gun with a semi-auto capability only. Also, if you gun will not change from one L.E.D. to th next when you push your button on the back of the handle, then your in the walmart situation.

TO FIX THIS:
- take off the cover to your handle
- look on the green board inside that has all the electrical components on it
- look for two parallel wires sticking straight out of the board (they should be about 2/8ths or 3/8ths of an inch long)
- get a "jumper" (not a "wire jumper") from radio shack, and this "jumper" should slide right over the two wires, in effect making them connect so voltage can flow from one wire to the next.
- when the jumper is in place, put your gun back together and you should have a tournament ready spyder imagine.

ps -unless you know about hard drive "master and slave" settings, then its not recommended that you get a spare jumper from there

Hey well i have the 04" Spyder Imagine and i know the problem everyone is having...it is true some are sold with the ability of 3 round burst and full auto but are not capable of changing modes...what needs to be done it when you open the chamber where the battery is and you see the 2 prongs in between the battery and the LEDs they are not connected...i don't know why this is but those 2 prongs do need to touch...you need to put some type of wire to connect these 2 prongs and your gun will change modes like it should...i had the same problem and fixed it myself...good luck guys

For most of you idiots that aren't aware some of the imagines are sold setup to run in only semi auto mode.  That is the only rof the gun can use unless you add the jumper.

y would u buy any paintball gun from wal mart i sugest going to badlands paintball in toronto. im also getting the spyder imagine if u get it from a good paintball place u shouldn't need a jumper cable to get yur gun working thats y i go to badlands paintball, they never sell u anything that doesn't work. Oh and if yur going to get the spyder imagine then get the 2005  version of it.

I bought a spyder imagine from the internet, it works just fine but my friend bought one from wal-Mart and it wouldn't change settings. He exchanged it three times and it still didn't work...I think they should recall them!

My Imagine wasn't full auto when i bought it.  I just had to put a jumper on the inside left grip where the two little prongs came up. they look kinda like a plug that goes in the wall but sharper.  All a jumper does is connect the two post to turn on the circuit inside the gun to make the button work.  the guys that said open up your computer and take a jumper from the back of your CD drive were right but i would go to radio shack and buy some. they are really cheap.

if u hav n 04 Imagine, and put it in auto, it should be able to go up to at least 13 bps.  If it dosn't, then you either bought it from wal-mart (those never work well)  or something is skrewd up!

Ok someone said earlier that if i dont got a jumper or something like that it will ruin the insides of my gun. Well i was wondering why u need a jumper. My gun seems to be working ok i shoots semi, 3 shot, and automatic fine in slow and fast mode so do i still need one and where do i look to see if i have one or not.

hey i have a spyder imagine e marker and i bought a upgrade for it and now it shoots 25 ball per second it use to shot 15 and now is better, the upgrade was 59.99 and i think is a good price for a upgrade, but the good thing is that you don't have to put a jumper cable that thing doest't help at all i think is better to buy a upgrade if you want to go crazy with your paint-ball gun and shoot 25 balls per second.   and is up to you if you want the best

hey dumb asses blasting the people whgo don't know how to make their gun auto, there are many types of imagines. the imagine s is only single unless you buy a kit. other types come with it so fon't buy your gun from walmart because all they sell are imagine s.

Hey, all you need to do is make a direct connection between these two metal prongs with a metal wire and solder it. The two prongs are to the left of the lights and are on the little circuit board

hey i have a spyder imagine 2k4 and a piranha evo 2005 limeted and the spyder is easy you will see the on/off switch on the right side of the marker ....then you turn it on and a blue light will appear thet is semi auto look at the back of gun and will see a button above the co2 holder press it until you see a green light  that is semi auto press again and red that is a full auto sighn there you have it and in case you didnt know there is a red little chip in the case when you bought the gun put is by the battery under the left side of the grip and modes will be enabled.
yo if i were you i would sell it and buy the evo its only $300

You guys should try something new with your imagines. Take a little piece of pencil or something about a little under 1 cm long. Put it behind your spring inside your velocity screw. This makes your spring tighter. You can shoot with more fps and distance. Try that muhaha.

I bought the spyder imagine from wal mart and it said that it was full auto but it was only semi. I agree with autococker that you shouldn't take the jumper off your computer hard drive unless your really good with computers.

My Spyder Imagine is doing that too.  Mine doesnt want to switch to 3 round or auto.  I dont know what the problem is but I would love to find out.  I new to this website and this is a question not an answer... All my gun does is stay on green but when i pull the trigger alot the red light comes on but no auto. I push the button and nothing.  The lights work and everything. Yeah, if you want your comp to boot up, put back the jumper in master or slave..
My Imagine came with a jumper in the box, though, but you could buy 1 for less than a nickel.

My light is blue and when I press the button it doesn't change colors. When I hold the button it flashes but when I let go and press the button again it is still blue.

The imagine comes with the jumper(chip)in the small plastic bag that also contains an allen wrench.(thats if you bought the gun new at walmart like I did.

Well on the imagine their is a button press the button when of safety.Press the button twice.Every time you turn the safety off you will start at semi.If you want auto or six shot. Keep on pressing the gun hold on the trigger to see what you have.

Another thing to be aware of is the tournament lock if that is out you CANNOT do anything but fire semi auto.

There is a video on here about the trigger mode setting.  I have heard that the Imagine bought from Wal-Mart is not equipped with the tournament lock.  Any piece of metal that will conduct electricity will work in place of the tourny lock.  get the lowest guage piece of copper wire you can get your hands on, and use a small piece of electrical tape to install this to make connection.

Ok i'm new here and i also couldnt figure this out. when i pushed the button on the back there was a white light that would come on and that was it. still nothing So i figured it all out and will help out as bast as i can.
First take the handle off your Spyder imagine. then look between the led's "little ights" and the battery. there is 2 prongs sticking up. they need to be touching each other. why they arent from the factory i have no idea? but the 3-ball burst and fully auto wont work without them touching one another! "use a jumper or get creative" then once you do that push the button on the back of the handle the light will turn green thats 3 ball burst. push it again and the light will turn red. thats fully auto. NOW there's another 3 lights "smaller ones" just to the right of them big ones. one is white one is amber and one is red. the red is "LOW BATTERY" light so dont worry about it. the white and amber are for the speed of burst and fully auto. white is if you want super fast burst and full auto "you need an electric ball hopper for this if you dont have one the balls wont feed into the gun fast enough" and Amber is if you want normal auto and burst. to change them hold the button on the back till one of them starts flashing then release it and push it again it will change to the other light When you get the one you want lit up Press and hold the button again and it will stop blinking! vuaa.laa....

ok, i got one of these Spyder imagine's and it came with a bag of spare o-rings, and in that bad was a conector, so i used it, and vuala, it works, so if that help it helps, its a little red conector, tiny thing

You need to find a way to connect the two prongs that you see on the board when you take the handle cover off. You can do this by getting a jumper, which is something that you slide over the two prongs to make them connected, you can get it at radio shack.

O.K.   The Spyder imagine e-marker cannot fire 14 shots per second on full auto. It will fire 12 shots per second. You can only achieve 14 shots per second by walking the trigger. I Reccomend getting a new trigger if yours did not come with a sweetspot

i didn't't get a manual with my imagine and so there fore  i am stuck with the same problem,,,,, but DON'T just take the relay off of your computer it'll crash your hard drive and nobody wants that to happen just go buy one at some electronic store

when you take the grip off where you put your battery there are 2 prongs sticking out of the circut board, there is a little tournement adjustment chip in your bag that you put on the prongs.. when the chip is removed it is locked into semi..

Yes a jumper off of a hard drive does work, that is what I did.
And yes you do need to put the jumper on the two little pins to be able to program your trigger.

you dont have to buy anything all you have to do is cross the two prongs by gently squeezing them together and then crossing them

i had the same probs with the burst programs, but you have only watch the vid on the website of Kingman (http://www.kingman.com/section/support/videos/videos.html) and were the guy pull the "jumper" you see 2 contacts. These contacts you have to soldering togheter and you can use the burst and full rate programm without any probs..

I was messing with my imagine the other day and i broke the button piece off to change it i have a jumper, i was just wondering if there is any way i can fix it

If you cant change to burst or auto it is not terminated do so! circuit board – (Digital LED) is equipped with a “LOCK”
function. A short-circuit plug (JE30B) located on the internal circuit board serves this
function. When this plug had been pulled out, the MODE will be locked to SEMI, (single
shot mode) and cannot be adjusted. Putting the lock switch (JE30B) back into the circuit
board will enable the multi-mode functions.

short-circuit plug also known as
terminators are the name on the plastic plugs to put on the  little metal pins  you find in allot of electronics! most common in ide drives. for example hard drives and cd-dvd roms

and charging time is not 14 hr with the standard charger  you put in the ebord handle!! it is the half, for standard charger is true a fast charger, and the fast charger is true a super fast charger

I just bought a spyder imagine and my gun wouldn't change modes to 3-shot burst, or full auto either. I used a piece of copper wire and stuck it in between the two prongs so now it changes fine. The problem i am having is that in every mode i fire the gun and the bolt doesn't return back to the firing position so i pull it back manually and the process repeats. What is wrong?

i bought a spyder imagine and when i put the co2 in the co2 come out of the thing under the barrel plz help??? and my modes do not work on the gun i only have semi auto
