I have a check gages light, I have only recently replaced the water pump at 57000 miles, as well as the t-stat. I did experience some pretty high temps, approx. 245 degrees F. Only after the repairs did I get the light, it also seems like my battery gage and temp gage no longer work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Send to darylajohnson2003@yahoo.com. Thanks.

My 1997 Ford Ranger has the same light, and it came on because the fuel gage quit working... I wonder which i would notice first, the small light or the gage not working... most likely just a glitch in the computer, im going to try to reset the computer (detach the positive battery cable for 15 minutes then attach and let engine run idle for 5 minutes or so) hope this helps

I have a 1999 Chevy Suburban K1500/4x4. I recently replaced my fuel pump. Soon after my Check Gages Light came on. And now I'm having some trouble starting my car, it took me 3 times to start it after I put gas in it this morning. It might be the spark plugs but not 100% sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. I can be e-mailed at: FoxXy5138@aol.com.
