my 97 monte carlo won't go into "park" unless i guide the sleeve that is over the shift selector cable into the (opening?) other wise it gets stuck it's not lined up like it should be i think because that sleeve is supposed to be attached or else there is a kink in the cable keeping the sleeve from moving smoothly up and down the cable when i shift i believe the kink is also what has caused the sleeve to not be lined up like it should i know it's a very simple problem and i'msure i could remedy it if i knew where to get a diagram of it so i knew where and how it went wrong. i am a chic so i may not have used the proper terminology, however if anyone is familiar with what i'mtalking about i'msure you see how very simple a problem it is and i would appreciate any input thank you
