I am wanting to get a tattoo, but I am also wanting to lose about 50 pounds.  I want a tattoo on my back between my shoulder blades.  Should I get it now while there is still "meat" there, or should Iait until after I lose the weight?  If I get it now, will it morph at all from th eweight loss?  Thanks.

u should get it now because if  u wait to lose weight then it is really going to hurt because it is all bone so  if i  were u  i  would get it while there is steel meat there and make sure it is something u r not going to regret take my advice i got a tattoo that says my boyfriends name and we have been together for about 8 years and he just broke up with me and now i  regret it  so just make sure u r not going to regret

well honestly it all depends on how well you are with pain. getting it in a place with a lot of meat is good but as i said it all depends on the person.

My first tattoo I got was on my back in the same spot as where you're asking about and I'm all bone there. It didn't hurt at all! Recently I got a new one on my ankle and it didn't either so LatinaNeNa is right, it depends on your pain tolerance

loose the weight first. Placement is dependent on how your body flows. Pain really shouldn't be an issue when it comes down to it. I feel like the pain is necessary, a hurdle you must overcome for the transformation.

I'm with snail.  You should get it after you loose the weight.  Pain lasts only for a short period of time...as for your tattoo it will be there forever. Don't risk deforming your tattoo.

You people are stupid, it doesn't matter, meat or no meat, you are still breaking 3 layers of skin which for ink to be permanant.  I'm a skinny guy and I have one on my upper back, it hurt more in the areas without bone (closing into the shoulder blades and away from the spine).

It depends on the area, if there are more nerve receptors in another area, it will hurt more.

The only thing I know about that spot is that the outline is barley painful but a sharp pleasant pain and when the artist whips out the 7 mag to do shading you will wish you never sat in that chair.
