alrighty, I'm 16 and I got my nose pierced several weeks ago at a professional place, nice clean, good rep, they usually make you get something notarized if you're underage.
It didn't hurt all that bad, and I'm such a wimp. Alot of peoples eyes do water, mine didn't, the guy made me close my eyes, which is a good idea, so you don't move. I didn't bleed either. I didn't get to pick my first piercing, but it was a nice tiny, silver nose screw. Nose screws are great, they stay in well and mine's healing fine. I use that Ocean stuff they reccomend a couple of times a day, and no bad bump, make sure you always use good quality metals, like real silver or surgical steel, the bumps, like when I got my lobes and cartilage, can simply be a result of an allergic reaction. Also, the piercing is 18 gauge (smaller the gauge the bigger the needle/ring). So whenever you get a new ring or screw, screws are awesome by the way, make sure you get the right size, cause if you get one too small, your piercing can heal up and you won't be able to put typical size nose rings in. If noses are like cartilage (the top of your ear) than rings give you an infection easier at first. As for screws, um mine felt out my accident once, it got caught and came out, yes beware blankets and towels, washing your face is fine, but watch for towels. Screws, umm they way to put them back in, alrighty, looking at them, look at the end, slid that in so the ring is lying flat on your nose, one end in and then, it may hurt a little, turn it and slide the rest in.
