  My grand-daughter attends day-care,and her teacher had a cold sore on her mouth.What are the rules and regs. about this.Is she allowed to be at the day-care when she has a cold sore? Thank- you

In my state there are no rules about cold sores in daycare facilities. A cold sore is as common as the common cold. It's nothing to worry about. It can be treated with over the counter medicine.

Hi, I work in a daycare and yes you can be there, we just have to avoid contacting the children with the affected area.
