My mother recently passed away leaving me $2.00 bills wrapped in the bank strap ($50.) dated 1976 series. They are in excellent condition with consequetive serial numbers. Any idea where to find out their worth?

Hi..I'm afraid unless they are star notes were you have a star at the end of the serial numbers they do not have much collector value. In uncirculated condition with no folds,no stains,no tears just like the day the were printed my book gives a retail value of around $6.If there are folds then they wouldn't be worth more than face.If uncirculated best bet is to put them on ebay instead of selling to a dealer. If there are folds then probably best to keep them or spend them.Any other questions I will be glad to answer.Email me at marlofan@aol.com.

I recently found three brand new mint condition $2.00 bills, with a post mark on each one and a 15 cent stamp that displays Chemistry on each bill.  The year is 1976, is there any importance or worth for such a find?
