Love can be summed up in one word...UNSELFISHNESS. People think the opposite of love is hate but it really is selfishness. The way you know if someone loves you is if they only want the best for you not themselves even at the expense of them giving their life.(like Jesus did) "Greater love hath no man then that he lay down his life for his friend." Jesus was the ultimate example of love. He had love for every one not just the people who treated Him perfectly. That is another way you know if you have true love. You can love those that mistreat you because you have the spirit of love (Jesus) inside you. It's called being a Christian. Without Jesus it is impossible to have this love.

Love is when you can be with someone and not care about anyone else when your with that person. Love is when all you have to do is talk on the phone for five minutes about nothing at all and still have a smile on your face. Love is when you feel that you could spend the rest of your life with that person even if you have only known them for two weeks and it is okay to look at others becasue know matter what your always there for the one you care about and they are there for you that is love you dont have to be together everyday or talk everyday but when you cant stop thinking about them for one second of the day that is Love.

Love can be defined in many ways but the way that it comes across most simple is that love is something you can't hold in your hand but you know is there because you can feel the warmth in your heart. Love is a bond between things that is harder to break than steel. If you feel that way then there's your answer!
