manual testing process is very long

You need to create a test plan/charter to act as guideline for your testing. your test charter can or will include things such as Types of tests, Test Comminuqué, Checklists, Who's responsible for what as far as testing is concerned, Testing approach and validation, etc

Manual Testing Procedure has for steps:
1. Requirement specifications
2. Test Plan
3. Test Run/Test Lab/ test Execution
4. Defect tracking.

each step has its own work flow

Requirement specification work-flow
Define Testing Scope -> Create Requirements -> Detail Requirement -> Analyze Requirements

Test Plan Work flow
Define Testing Strategy -> Define Test Subjects -> Define Tests -> Create Coverage -> Design Test Steps -> Automate Tests -> Analyze Test Plan

Test Lab Work flow
Create test Sets -> Schedule Runs -> Run Automated Tests/Run Manual Tests -> Analyze Test Results

Defect Tracking Work flow
Add Defects -> Review New Defects -> Repair Open Defects -> Test New Build -> Analyze Defect Data

Manual testing it is process by which your going to locate the bugs. bug is a deviation from the expected result. so Max of company uses manual testing only for locating bugs cause mainly economical reason,

first of all check that there should be no bugs which can make your software crash

then check that all the button links etc performs their functions successfully


then do check that error messages are displayed corrects

then check all the cosmetic bus

i think thats enough :)
