The size is determined by the displacement of the water that started it. If a meterior hit in an ocean,it could cause an astromical wave that could clean this planets clock. Remember, sharks love tsunamies. It gives them lots of fresh meat.

hey tsunamis can get really big and be very dangerous.  they can get up to 50 meters high or 50 stories.  they form because of change in climate.  another way they form is by undersea earthquakes.  theses can be the most damaging than any other.

The largest wave ever recorded was created by a rock and ice shelf falling into the ocean which created a wave 1,640 feet tall.  This event occurred in Alaska in 1958.  Additionally, the 1964 earthquake in Alaska created a wave 67 meters tall, about 218 feet.

For my calculations, title waves are 50-107 ft. high.

Tsunamies are actually 5-20 ft. which makes it much lower instance.

Tittle waves can come in any shape and size
it doesnt matter if it starts a few Kilometres of shore it can still build up enough water to wipe out anything that can move. Example small islands.

Thank you Daniel Byrne the Number before you?

Big enough to cause a ton of danger. It depends on how far or close it is to the land. It can range from however many stories high, to just many feet. As long as you stay on high enough grounds, you should have no problems.
