How would I find a home for a 1-2 year old female plott hound - We adopted her about 1 month ago from a shelter, not knowing her breed.  She is the sweetest dog, but needs to have a home where she has lots of space to run and/or hunt. We don't want to return her to a shelter, and want to find her a more appropriate environment. Can anyone help direct us to a resource? mwcook1@email.msn.com

I also adopted a Plott from a shelter, this month, female same age, not knowing the breed.I'm making adjustments to keep this dog, like the dog park 3-4 times a week and long walks, I'm looking into SAR training etc. I can't find much info on these dogs as pets, if you kept the dog I'd really like to e-mail you about her, if you didn't and returned her to a shelter I'm curious if you might be in the Las Vegas area, that's where I found my Plott.

I would love to talk to anyone who has adopted a Plott hound.  We've had ours about 6 months and would like to talk to other owners
