Hi,
What about lossless jpg compression, which is also named JPG2000 format? Which compression format is the best for lossless?

Please read the FAQ. It says "Lossless JPEG has never been popular --- in fact, no common applications
support it --- and it is now largely obsolete.  (For example, the new PNG
standard outcompresses lossless JPEG on most images.)"

On the other hand, one day JPEG 2000 http://jpeg2000.epfl.ch/
could become the standard lossless image format. When that day comes, I'll simply convert my PNG files to JPEG files -- since both are lossless, I can convert them back and forth any number of times without losing anything.
