I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9 V-6 and would like to check the timing but I cant fine the procedures on how set the timing. The V-6 is fuel injection and has a pining when I diver it in hight gear.

You can not adjust the timing on that truck it is something that Is computerized

You can not set the timing in this truck. It is controlled by the on board computer. You can try re-gapping the plugs to try and get rid of the pinging, or go to high test gas.

yo mutha,the timing on these viechles can only be checked/ corrected w/ a diagnostic hookup.. u had the same problem. its completly ran w/ a computer... youll see the lines on the bottom pulley of the engine but u can only change it w/ a computer
