I rec'd a >pub file and can open it. I have Publisher 2000. The rror message says cannot open file from other versions. Does tha mean the file was created with Publisher xp?

can you open a PUB file w/word as anything other than .txt?

Is this file a MS.publisher file?
If it is, you can get a ".gif" file out of it.

Open the file in.publisher, go to file > Web site preview.

This will convert the page to html and display it in your web browser.

Then you can right click on the image in the browser and save it.

I have a disc and it's asking what file to open the PUB file.

It could be a Ventura Publisher publication or Microsoft Publisher document.

hmm. so we need publisher to open a .pub?? is there another way we can open it?
