I have a 1994 Mazda 4000, every now and then when you try and start it, you just get a click, other times it starts perfectly. This seems to be happening more often now. It
started this about a week ago.

the problem most likely is the wire to the carb warmer is loose or shorted.  f series engines came with a plate that sits between the manifold and the throttle body, when the ignition is turned on it warms the carb and melts the ice that may be there. Also, it improves the value of the fuel while driving by making it "lighter" and  cleaner.
