We have a ten year old Beardie who suffers from arthritis and we have been recommended to have her coat cut to save her the pain of being groomed regularly.  Apart from the changed look of her, will this really help with her arthritis?  Will she feel as comfortable with no hair after ten years?  What are anyones general feelings regarding this?  Thanks for your help.

Being groomed requires standing for awhile and with arthritis I imagine this can be painful. She'll be fine without her coat. Just take extra measures to keep her warm enough in the winter (a sweater perhaps?) and be careful of sunburn in the summer.
