I think I may have found an original first edition Rolling Stone today... I found this site while researching to see if it's actually an original or not. If it's not it's a darn good copy! If anyone has any info on this, please feel free to email me at pffth@aol.com.... Thanks in advance!

John Lennon was on the cover of the first issue of Rolling Stone.  I have a copy of it which is in outstanding condition considering its newsprint and was stored in a barn for about 30 years.  I've always wondered how much it's worth but i've never been able to find a price for it.

The first issue of the Rolling Stone magazine featured a photo of John Lennon wearing a military helmet with camouflage netting.

An article in the online encyclopedia Wikipedia has a photo of this first cover.
