I have a 1 year old male Chihuahua. He has this tendency to scoot his butt across the floor. Now he has had worms and we just recently got de-wormed, but he still scoots. Why is he doing this and how can I get him to stop?

He may need his anal glands expressed. A vet can do this.

My Chihuahua is 1 years old and he has always done that.  I noticed it is usually after he has defecated.  I think he is only doing what humans do after defecating.  That is his way of wiping himself.  If we don't wipe it usually starts to itch.  He is probably itching.
