My husband and I are going to buy a 5 month old Lhasa puppy. Has anyone had experience house training a puppy this old and is crate training the best? Also and suggestions introducing this puppy to a 13 year old maltese and 3 month old kitten?

We trained our llasa apso by using a crate.  It did not take it very long at all and it worked very well.  We also have a 15 year old siamese cat.  The cat will not play with the dog but she tolerates him.  He gets upset because she won't play with him but all in all they get along pretty good.
