I would have thought that the installation of a power antenna would have been a very basic process.  I’m not an electronics expert, nor master mechanic, but I have done basic work over the years, leading me to believe that this would surely be a straightforward process.
I was wrong.
I removed the old antenna; found good bracing for the new antenna and power sources that were both on all the time and another source that was energized by turning on the radio.
Now that I’ve installed my new Christmas gift, the light in the radio display constantly goes on and off; the antenna does not raise; or lower and I cannot turn off the radio.
I do hope that someone can explain what I’ve done wrong, and how to correct the problem.
Thanks
