What happens if i null with a creature with protection from green and my opponent only has green creatures?

the opponants creaturs can't touch your creature.

He won't be able to block.
But I have another Question. What happens, when I attack with "Thieving Magpie" and deal damage to my opponent, but he prevents it?
Am I allowed to draw the card, or have I to do more than 0 damage?

0 damage is not damage. For damage to be dealt you must deal 1 or more damage.
