If I write a program like following :

# include <stdio.h>
main()
{
   int a = 1;
   printf("%d , %d" , a++ , a++);
}

Then why the output is 2,1 instead of 1,2 ?

since printf is executed from right to left... so the right most a is incremented (ie., post) so its value will be 1, but when it comes to 1st a, the value of "a" would have already updated to 2 & it is post increment so its value will be incremented after the printf instruction.
