I'm getting married next month a US Citizen ..I'd like to know how long would it take to become a resident after getting a Social Security.

That is all dependent on the backlog of the immigration office. I got married in November 2005 and by March 2006 I became a permanent resident. You can get your social security card and number as soon as you Immigration and Nationality Services process your application. I got mine in January of 2006. Good luck! ok i need your help on march20\2007 are calss has to do a project about us getting married and we have to get a boy parner and we have to get married to them and i need you guys to help me what i have to do
