I'm exactly one week late for my period and I have taken three home pregnancy tests. All have resulted as positive. I am wondering if anybody knows how the prescription drugs Prednisone(steroid) and the anti-biotic Biaxin may effect hcg levels re:the test and if they do would they cause a + result even if I am not pregnant? PLEASE HELP IF POSSIBLE

errrrm, i think its possible you are pregnant. i avent heard of drugs affecting a pregnancy test result. hcg levels are produced by an embryo, nt medicine.hwever, the steriods and antibiotics woulnt not be safe to carry on taking until your pregnancy is confirmed. they are nt drugs prescribe in pregnancy. amoxycillin is usually the only safe anti biotic in pregnancy and streids usually afect the baby like fdrugs would. hope i have helped

a week late isnt that much, im a week late right now. why would u take 3 home pregnancy tests in a week? hormones screw stuff up

to respond to your question, I would probably say that you are pregnant. If you haven't received your period in a week, AND you have taken 3 pregnancy tests (positive), then be prepared to be going to the doctors. My answer could be wrong so going to the doctor would be the best idea just in case your period is late for other reasons.

i had sexual intercourse last week and i had blood in my knickers and i don't know whether i have started my periods or not but i have i have had blood in knickers for two days and i am a bit worried what should i do? should i take a pregancy test? or shall i wait? please can you tell me what to to do please

I have this pregnancy book that was written by a doctor. The only thing it says is that prescription drugs that affect your hormones (like fertility drugs) may cause false positives on a pregnancy test. What I would suggest you do is go to your family doctor and tell him you are on and ask him. While you're there have a blood test done. That's the most accurate test anyway.

Mediciation such as Antibotics rarely have affect if any on pregnancy test. My advice would be to go to your local physican to get a blood reading pregnancy test. If it is postive don't be stressed out their are many courses of actions you can take. Talk with your local family planning associations to discuss the possible methods.

girl u pregnant u just either need to go to the doctor set an appointment and thats the only people thats gon give u a definite correct answer. girl dont stress yourself out . go to da doctor
