When I had my belly button pierced it felt like a small pinch, like a pinch you get when the dentist gives you Novocaine.  Unfortunately the artist didn't warn me that you are supposed to have a ring the first few days instead of a stud.  The piercing began to stretch and the ball of the stud began to get sucked into the hole.  Then it got infected, so now I have a fairly big scar above my belly button.  But to answer your question, it's not bad at all. ^-^

Belly piercing does not hurt at all.. It's quite pleasurable..

I sure hope belly button piercing doesn't hurt! i dont want to get my belly button pierced, but that is because i dont care to show off my gut. I'm not actually a licensed piercist, but i do give my friends various piercings when the desire arises. i have pierced a few belly buttons but none have got infected. the only things i havent pierced is a lip or anything between ur legs!

i am 13 my mom will let me get my belly button pierced and i don't care if it hurts but some people said in Mississippi where i live that even with a parent signature that you cant get it done until like your 16 well i live in Alabama in the summer with mom and i cant get it down there but i don't want to wait that long is it true i cant get it done in Mississippi??

i had my belly button pierced with a gun.. (with out my parents knowing) it was the WRONG WAY..a week after i went to change the ring n put the real belly one..  n guess what it wouldn't fit so i just let it close.. i thought it would hurt like hell .. but it doesn't AT ALL.. i dd it when i was 13..  now I'm14 n i wanna get it done the right way me n 3 of my friends wanna go.. but i donno whats stopping me!

Hey I got my bellybutton pierced today and last night I was reading all these answers to see if it would hurt! Girls who want to get it done, make sure you go to a place thats well known. I went to the place my friends have gone to so you know where it is and that its clean etc. First thingg, before you get it pierced make SURE that everything is sterilzed before you do anyy piercing. ok the big question... did it hurt?? it hurt A BIT... it only hurt when the needle first went in afterwards you dont feel a thing... its over before you even know it! Afterwards make sure you take good care of it so it doesn't get infected... other then that it is definitly worth getting!!!!

i pierced my belly button by my self & it didnt hurt & i had to get a surgecal steel bent barbell & i didnt know so i put a sterling silver in there & it didnt get infected but dont ever pierce it ur self cuz if something goes wrong u could damage ur stomach lining... but luckily i did mine purfect ... at leats thats what the doctor said...!

I had  the top of my belly pierced when i was 12. It  didnt't hurt a little bit it was like a  small pinch. The worst bit was when they froze it my belly went white.Then when i was 13 i had the bottom of my belly pierced without my dad or mum knowing (my friends dad took me). This one one less pain full then the top it didnt't hurt at all.
So NO!!!!! It doesnt't hurt at all.
All you people who want it done go get it done.

i got my belly button pierced with a rifile. my dad shot my stomach and it hurt really bad. i dont think anyone should try this. i now suffer from sever stomach problems. but i do have it peirced i have a lot of scars on my belly dont do it it hurts a lot

Hey everyone, I am 14 and I recently asked my dad if I could get my Belly Button pierced and he didn't really mind..... EXCEPT, he said he isn't sure because I sometimes have problems with my cartilage piercing, and he said that My belly could get infected and it could cause stomach problems is that true?

hey Anchovieeee, ok what they do is (well what they SHOULD do) is, they let you pick out the ring etc. out, and then they have to sterilize it in an oven type thing, takes about 5, 10 or even 15 mins, then they take you into a room, and have you stand up so they can make the mark on you belly (where you want it), then they have you lay down, they clean your belly, then they put a clap on your bellybutton, and they SHOULD use a 14 gauge, hollow needle looking thing (DO NOT EVER GET PIERCED WITH A GUN) then they put it thro and the pain only supposed to last about 10 secs could be longer? anyways then the put like sometimes a ring or something until they are ready for the one you picked out, then they put it in and the your done. ok well g2g please everyone respond to my question?

I got my belly button pierced and i was just turning 14 and i will edmit it i cried it hurt me alot. mom went before so i could back out of it(hoping i would) but i didnt. She said it felt like getting blood drawn but for me that was a different story.

Hey everyone i recently got my belly button pierced but they did it with a curved barbell instead of a ring.. A lot of my friends said that this is wrong and i should take it out but i payed 65$ for it so i really don't want to. So far it looks good i'vehad it for like a week and it doesn't look infected or bad or anything. Please help

I am getting my bellybutton peirced in a few days and my best friends brother is doing it. He has peirced his eyebrow, his tongue and a few belly buttons. Im terrified its going to hurt, but I've only heard a few people say that it does. But I am even more scared that its going to get infected.

hey every1 i pierced my belly button 5 times myself and it didn't hurt bet it got infected it turned black! but don't worry the only reason why that happened to me was cause i didn't sterilize the needle.

Henriette don't tell them that the only reason why it hurt 4 u was cause u used a rifle. don't worry everybody it doesn't hurt at all I'm i cheer leading and volleyball and it still doesn't hurt.  :-)

Hi everyone. i have been reading all these letters of people asking if it hurts. well don't stress cause it don't hurt that much. but everyone is different. i am a body piercer from Aust. i have my belly pierced 4 times. all around it, and i'm not going by my feelings. but every belly that i have pierced, or almost anything for that matter all end up saying "that didn't hurt as much as what i thought it would". so be brave, even take some friends with ya if that will make you feel better. but hey, don't hide it from your parents cause they will find out one day. and 1 big word of advice, DON'T DO IT YOURSELF!!! not to hate, but you don't know what your doing, you could get a nasty infection, you might cause stress to that part of your body and you might leave a scar that is with you for the rest of your life. for those of you that have done it yourself, more power to you for having the guts 2 do it, but if you mess it up, it's in your hands. peace.

i think it would hurt alot cause my cosin did that and she said it hurts lik hell but it looks really cool! and the only bad thing about it my cosin said if you want a different lik earing think you have 2 peirce it all over again!

Oh my gosh. I can't belive some of the ages of LITTLE GIRLS wanting to get theirs pierced!!! You shouldnt because u arnt even done growing yet. You should wait till ur at least 13 or 14. for all ouf you older chicas it doesnt hurt hardly at all. I have to admitt that its a needle goin through ur skin so it hurst but only like a shot. This is to Ally. They put a clamp on ir first to cut of the blood flow so that when they do it you hardly feel it and so u don't like bleed a lot.

even of you do have sensitive skin it won't hurt it's a 1-2 second pain and that's all. Your stomach shouldn't be totally out of shape it should be flat at least other wise your belly button will stick out but it doesn't have to have muscles or anything! G2G

Hiya Everyone

I went with my best friend yesterday to get are belly button pierced.
My mum and sister came with us to because you need to have an adult with you.
My belly button got freezed, so my belly was made a lot numer.
All the pain was, was just a little sting, for about 4 seconds.
I would rate the pain 2/10.

i would like to get my bellybutton peirced but i dont know if i want to its like 80/20 probability. I have a flat stomach but i am one of those self concious pretty girls who don't think she's pretty enough and if i do get my belly button peirced i dont think id have the courage to wear like a tank that would show off my stomach even though i am skinny and have flat stomach-Tell me what you think. Do you think that i should express myself with my peircing and dont care what no one thinks

Hey Everyone,

I Think that if you want to get your belly button pierced you should. I think that it looks really cute on nice tummies (not to give u any ideas about changing yourself). If your comfortable with the way you look DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!!! and don't do it just to get someone's attention or something like that Bcuz if it doesn't impress them and you don't like it you mite take it out and regret it and have a scare there or something. Leave the decision UP TO YOU ENTIRELY. G2B

Getting your belly button pierced doesnt hurt at all. i seriously barely felt it. It really depends on how you take pain, but its just a pinch, its no big deal.

LeXy, its better to get it poierced with a ring first, becasue its alooot easier to clean. if you have a barbell while its healing it just rubs against it to much and it gets infected. like when you site down and crouch over, the bottom of your belly button pushed the ring up and thats not good for it. When i got mine done, they did it with a ring, but then i changed it 3 weeks after to a barbell(DO NOT change it until it heals - in like 2-3 months. i know i was stupid for changing it =]).Most places usually do it with a ring becasue of these reasons.

hi my names falling....im 13 years old and my mom is thinking about letting me have my belly pierced but she always says yes to these things....i know where i am gonna have it done all my mates have had it done there and their rings...so on look perfectly clear and they have even let me feel the belly bar connecting the 2 barbels and it all seems clear and un painfull i was wondering how much it would cost and if it DOES hurt at all...

First off, Alibabe, PLEASE DON'T GET YOUR NOSE PIERCED. That is part of your face. When you get old do you really want to have a big whole in your nose? You should get your belly pierced, it's cute and pretty much painless.  I just had my belly button pierced yesterday and it doesn't hurt at all. It's a tiny bit tender, but it's not red or anything. I love it. And when it comes to cleaning these things. DO NOT CLEAN YOUR BELLY BUTTON RING WITH ANYTHING THAT YOU WOULDN'T PUT IN YOUR EYES. That stuff can get into your blood stream. Only clean it with contact solution, aka salt water.

I've had my belly pierced for about a month. I live in Ohio so things here might be different but you HAVE to be 18, there are no exceptions, if you want ANY piercing without having a parent with you. If you are under 18, you hav
