I rescued a 7 week old kitten 2 days ago and his last owner said that he has been on solid kitten food for a couple of days. I was wondering if I should be giving him milk in a saucer or water at this point?
Thank you!

Milk is never good for cats, there is a special lactose free milk especially for kittens in any pet store most include bottles. If the kitten has been eating normal food Kitten chow is best for them to chew, sometimes it is necessary to soak it with water to make it soft. Wet cat food is not good for kitten either. your kitten should be drinking water at this stage.

don't give it milk but water is good. ask a vet if it should be eating solids yet. you sound like a good hearted person so you and this kitten should get on fine!

you should not feed your cat milk. it will give them an upset stomach or even hurt them badly or possibly kill them.

Hi, I have given my kitten lots of toys, she has just come home and she is my first kitten. The other cats I have had have been older. When she plays it is with her teeth and claws, and she claws her way up my back. Is this normal? Do I do something to prevent it or let her do it. Also I have given her a bed and she still insists on cuddling up to me to sleep. Do I just let her sleep cuddling up to me or insist she sleeps in her bed and how? This is all very new to me so any help will be a blessing as I have only had her for 2 days. Thank you!!
