hi folks, i have a strange problem with my pc...i have a dual boot system...it runs win98 and winxp.  i recently installed advanced drives for my mouse on win xp and my mouse did not function after that so i removed the software and shut down the computer.  the next time i switched it on i notice that my keyboard is not functioning under win xp mode.

i am the administrator of the computer and i have a password to log on into my account...my roommate has another account on the same computer in winxp.  i am not able to type in the password though the mouse works fine but am able to log into my friends account but then again the keyboard does not work in his account either...it says that there is something wrong with the drivers for the keyboard.

it is really driving me mad and it is mandatory that i have to access my computer in the win xp platform...i desperately need help...

note:  the keyboard works if i boot up in win 98 platform
