I have a 1995 Jeap Grand Cherokee.  The battery voltage starts out at 14.5 or so but as the engine warms up it drops to 12 volts or less.  It acts like there is a temperature sensor that is not working correctly.  The book that I have states that the charge control computer uses a temperature.  Does anyone know where the sensor is or what the problem may be.  During the winter for the most part the voltage is over 13.5V.  During the summer when I am running far less stuff the voltage quickly drops to 12.5 or so.

Try a new temperature control sensor. I changed mine in my 94 Grand Cherokee and my voltage went from 13 to 14 volts right after I changed it. It's easy to change and it's cheap.

Wynn , i have to say, everything you said seems for me that everything works fine as it should. expla; when a battery is hot as you claim when the engine warms up, the voltage goes higher so the PCM make the voltage lower as i should. And again like in winter it work fine. Plz don't start touching sensors they have a way for the other sensors to get jealous if you know what i mean. Meaning you may start problems where the where none before.
