I'm a bit new to programming, and im currently stuck on something particular -

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to code an InputBox Function which involves editing and deleting clients records by inputting the proper Health Insurance number.

what i need to accomplish is the following :
- the user inputs the proper health insurance number, clicks 'OK',and then the proper client record is loaded onto the screen.
- if the user presses the 'cancel' button, the InputBox is unloaded and returns to the main menu.
- if the user makes a mistake in the correct health insurance number to input , there is an error message of somekind.

I wouldnt want this entire problem solved for me, but if someone would be so nice as to set me in the right direction with a few hints, then it would be incredibly appreciated.

thank you for your time
